My sister, my built in best friend and motivation, passed away from an autoimmune liver disease. She was young and I only know bits and pieces of her experience. But I know she was strong, brave, and a fighter always.  My sister wanted to be a doctor and help those much in the same way her doctors helped and loved her. Even though she is no longer here with us, we can still help those who have been affected by liver disease. Our livers are small but mighty, just like my sister. And I walk knowing she is there beside me.
