Cancer has had an impact on everyone in one way or another. Unfortunately I had a first hand experience of it last September when my world was tipped upside down. Hearing the word "cancer" from my consultants mouth is a moment I will never forget. It was a frightening, dark and, at times, lonely place to be whilst going through the many MRI's, CT scans and finally surgery. However, the strength, support and most importantly LOVE of my family and friends got me through this awful time.  The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre has been a big part of my recovery. They are there to listen, comfort and offer ideas on coping. They have done this consistently for me and have been a huge comfort when I need time to think it all through.
