I found my trainers! And you know what... I reckon they still work, too!
To test this hypothesis, I've only signed up to run the EMF 10k on the 25th of May.
To make sure I actually follow through on this madness and not let the internal excuses get the better of me, I've chosen to do it for a charity that means a great deal to my family.
For over a century, as a voluntary organisation, St Andrew's Children's Society has been devoted to finding loving, stable homes for children who can no longer reside with their birth families. Their work is complex, underfunded and emotionally challenging, yet they remain committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable children in Scotland.
I'd be enormously grateful if you could give them £5 by sponsoring my run. It'll keep me motivated, and as a personal thank you, please suggest a song for my running playlist.
In the meantime, here is a photograph of me having completed a run and about to eat a cake. You're welcome.
