Story
Nearly a year ago, we announced that we'd entered a charitable partnership with Brake, the road safety charity. Twelve months in and we've abseiled, ran, baked and donated, all to help Brake and the fantastic work that they do to make Britain's roads safer.
This time, we're sending Stuart and Louise across to Penrhyn Quarry in North Wales to take on Velocity 2.
Described as the closest experience to flying you can do, Velocity 2 is the fastest zip line not just in the UK, but in all of Europe. With winds blowing in the right direction, people can reach speeds in excess of 100mph while hurtling across a former slate mine. It's not for the faint-hearted, as those who've experienced it before can attest to.
This challenge will be especially poignant. Not only because it marks twelve months since we began fundraising for Brake, but because it was Stuart who suggested we enter said partnership in memory of his late brother, who was tragically killed in a road traffic accident at the age of 18.
Together, the pair have set a fundraising target of £300. With your support and generosity, we're all sure that they'll far surpass that.
