Story
"Every day, more than 70 people are killed or seriously injured on British roads."
Road safety affects everyone and for some people, it changes everything. That's why I'm running the ASICS London 10k for Brake, Creatif's chosen charity.
By supporting me on my run, you'll be raising funds to help Brake 's tireless work with communities and organisations across the UK to stop the tragedy of road deaths and injuries, make roads safer for everyone, and support people bereaved and seriously injured on roads.
So far, training has been going well. There's been the odd niggle here and there and the British weather has made training either too wet or too warm. But none of that really matters. What does matter, is lacing up my trainers and setting off around the capital and running kilometre after kilometre after kilometre.
I would say I'm hoping for a PB but as this is my first ever properly timed run, that wouldn't be some sort of achievable target! I've got a time in mind though, but what time do you think I'll finish in? Let me know when donating and give me something extra to run towards!
The extra good news is that I get to see the sights and run past Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and the London eye. And with the finish line just down from Downing Street, hopefully, I'll get to see Larry (and/or Palmerston).
