We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

Earlier this year Craig's grandfather passed away after a battle with dementia. Dementia affects 820,000 people in the UK. Around 23 million of the UK population have a close friend or family member with dementia. As well as the huge personal cost, dementia costs the UK economy £23 billion a year, more than cancer and heart disease combined. Despite these figures, dementia research is desperately underfunded. Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity specialising in finding preventions, causes, treatments and a cure for dementia.

Alzheimer’s Research UK is currently funding top scientists through more than 140 groundbreaking projects worth over £20 million in our determination to defeat dementia. As it receives no government funding, it relies on its enthusiastic supporters to fund this crucial research.

We and Alzheimer's Research UK appreciate anything you are able to donate.

Regards,

Craig and Eleanor
