I have been unfit for a very long time. So I naturally decided that I was in condition for a 6 day extreme hike at 3,000m elevations, which is higher than I've ever been on planet earth (excluding airplanes!)

So why am I going to push my body to extremes it hasn't gone before with this adventure?

Because I have the freedom to do so.

Because there are 49.6 million men, women and children who don't have that freedom. Who are trapped in the evil of modern day slavery and human trafficking. Who generate $150 billion for those who claim ownership of them.

So I choose to use my freedom to raise funds to help them gain their freedom.

I've been involved as a volunteer with Hope for Justice since 2014 and I value how they rescue victims, restore lives, seek justice, work with local government, law enforcement and NGO agencies, seek to change cultures and work with communities to help prevent trafficking.

We refuse to abandon the least, the last and the lost. And I WILL live in a world free from slavery.
