Story
Thanks for visiting my page.
I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation, a charity very close to my heart and I'd be so grateful for your support. My daughter was born with a congenital heart defect known as common arterial truncus. At just 20 days old my daughter went for her first open heart surgery which saved her life. 18 months later, she was having her second open heart surgery. Nine years on, she continues to amaze us with her get up and go attitude on life. Nothing has stopped her from living a normal life, she dances, she runs and swims with a huge smile on her face. She continues to be monitored and will face further operations in the futre. With charities likes this, and the research they do, helps our daughter and many other children and their families have a fighting chance in life.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
