Story

Me and my team will be climbing three of the highest mountains in the UK, they consist of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike  and Snowden. The challenge needs to be done in under 24 hours which includes travel time. No easy feat.

We will be conducting this challenge in order to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy, as a family member suffers with the disease and has received a tremendous amount of help from this charity. This is our way of supporting that charity and helping them continue their great work. So if you can spare any pennies to help the cause it would be much appreciated, obviously I understand we are living in desperate times giving the current economical climate, so if you have read this and can’t spare any pennies please just give this post a share, which will also be much appreciated.

Moving Muscles for Marcus supports Duchenne UK a charity that has one clear aim to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys. Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development. Together, we will end Duchenne.

As the leading Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) charity in the UK, we want to find effective treatments for DMD and end its devastating impact. We’re going further than anyone has before, and we’re doing it faster, because this generation of people living with DMD can’t wait.
