I am going to take part in a series of events to raise money for the Christie Hospital in Manchester, the first of which will be the Great Manchester Run Half Marathon in May 2017.  My wife Amy spent the last 12 days of her life in the Christie after developing secondary breast cancer and all of the staff were simply wonderful at the most difficult of times for us.

I don't think that I will ever be able to repay the debt that I have for the hospital, but if I can raise some money to help them prevent and/or cure cancer so that other patients and their families do not have to go through what we did, then that will go some way to honouring my beautiful girl.
