Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and support me on this ridiculous idea of mine.
Last week I thought it would be funny to post a photo of my garden on Facebook saying how there was no way I could do a lockdown marathon like some bloke I had seen post. Someone who was already an athlete, using their spacious garden to keep fit during lockdown. Firstly, I'm not fit. Secondly the patch of grass in our garden is 360cm x 360cm. That would make a fat man (me) very dizzy. Looking back it was a foolish idea to post my thoughts on Facebook, one I am likely to regret over the next few weeks. It wasn't long before my wife Kirsty and her friend had challenged me to do it. Not one to back down from a challenge I decided it would be fun, so here I am! It will mean 4200 laps! My kids will be joining in on and off, and no doubt the bastard cats will try and trip me up too.
Perth Autism Support (PAS) are a fantastic charity in my area. PAS was created to support individuals, aged 18 or under on the Autism Spectrum, and their families throughout Perth & Kinross. I've seen firsthand the awesome work they do and hope I can raise some funds to help them keep doing the great work they do.
We will be posting regular updates on here so you can all see how I'm getting on. As I'm not a runner, not fit, and have a tiny patch of grass to run on when I'm not at work (I'm a key worker so will be running when I'm home) it won't be a short job! I fully expect it to take me a few weeks. But with your support I'm sure I can get it done fast! Please join in you fancy, post your photos and videos on my Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/craigsmarathon
