Story
I'm taking on a Fire family Challenge to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity. They provide specialist lifelong support for members of the UKs fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. Whatever their reason for coming to the Charity whether they are injured, recovering from an illness, suffering from stress or anxiety their teams take the time to understand each persons mental, physical and social needs. To ensure the Charity can do this for over 5,000 people a year and to meet the £9m cost of operating its support services, it is dependent on regular donations from fire and rescue service personnel, past and present, as well as the general public.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me so I want to raise as much money as possible for the charity as I can. I have used the charities services twice and they are unbelievable. I have many colleagues who have also used the charity and without the help they received they wouldn't have got back to work as quickly as they did.
We will be heading to Katmandu, then fly into the formidable Lukla airport where the trek will start from. The trek will be approximately 14 days long depending on the weather and other variables. Many thanks in advance for any kind donations.
Best wishes Craig Hall
