As some of you may know, I am heading to Tanzania in November for voluntary work. I will be part of a WoodgroupPSN Ltd. Work Party who will be involved in basic building duties alongside local craftsmen and community volunteers through a charity called the Vine Trust.

The Tanzania Project is amazing and makes such a difference to the people of Tanzania. The vision of The Vine Trust in Tanzania is to provide a safe home, food, and education for the vulnerable children in the area. The children being helped have become orphaned and/or are living on the streets as a result of their parents’ death.

The Tanzania project involves funding the building of village homes and centres to provide shelter and education desperately needed in a country where less than 25% of children will have the opportunity of secondary school level education.

Your donation no matter how small will go a long way in Tanzania...giving these people safe housing, accessible health care and supporting a better standard of living for the people of Tanzania.

In order to try and prise your hard earned cash from you I will be competing in the following gruelling races to hopefully attract donations.

 

21 September 2014 - The Spartan Race in Edinburgh which involves not only running but fire, mud, water and barbed wire, so wish me luck.

5 October 2014 - The Glasgow Half Marathon
