Story
Hello all,
I am taking part in an Olympic Distance Triathlon on 13th September 2009 (http://www.humanrace.co.uk/), raising money for Cancer Research. For those that don't know, an Olympic Distance Triathlon is broken down into 3 disciplines.
- 1500m swim
- 40km cycle
- 10km run
Unfortunately, the majority of us know someone who has had cancer in their life. Whether a close friend, someone they went to school with, or worse, a family member or relative. The effects can be devastating.
I have been guilty in the past of seeing flash's on facebook of people raising money for Charity, and decided not to donate. I don't even know why. I guess I figured "other people will donate for this person, I don't have too". But since deciding to raise money myself, I see how important every donation however large or small counts. Every penny and every pound can add up to something significant.
So don't be someone who reads this and closes it. Think about it, and donate! Your money can help...
