Story
Last September, on a Friday afternoon, my two-year-old grandson Sam, went for a routine MRI at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
The following morning he underwent emergency surgery to remove a tumour on his spine. This was an unexpected and a life saving surgery. The care he received and the compassion my daughter and her husband were shown were second to none.
We are forever grateful to the teams that took care of him and continue to do so.
For over 100yrs Alder Hey have cared for children and their families. Merseyside,, Cumbria, Shropshire, Wales and the Isle of Man. Alder Hey Campus is modern and busy with plans to expand to continue to meet the needs of the 330,000 children, young people and their families they care for every year.
My hope is to raise a least £1 for every 10 Metres walking Yr Wyddfa at night.
