Story
In August 2013 my dad was diagnosed with bladder cancer and in February 2014 he underwent major surgery to remove his bladder and the cancer. All went well with the surgery and he was making good progress until September 2014 when we had the news, the cancer had returned and spread to his lungs and liver and he was given 6-9 months to live, with Chemotherapy hopefully buying him an extra 6 months.
Sadly the Chemotherapy was unsuccessful and his condition deteriorated quickly after Christmas and he passed away peacefully at 1.10am on Saturday 31 January 2015.
My dad received fantastic support from Douglas Macmillan and spent his final days in there fantastic care facility and I want to do what I can to ensure the care my dad received continues for anyone else who needs it in the future.
