Great Wall of China Challenge · 14 September 2019 to 22 September 2019 ·

Following the incredible success of our treks to Machu Picchu (2012, 2017) and Mount Kilimanjaro (2015), Team MND Scotland will be trekking the Great Wall of China in September 2019.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.

My Dad and I will be lucky enough to join an amazing group of people in September  2019, to trek the Great Wall of China. This experience will aim to raise further funds for MND Scotland, continuing their support of those suffering from this horrendous illness, provide help and guidance to family members and hopefully one day find a cure.

My family and I lost my mother in 2017, after a long 3 year battle with motor neuron disease. I cannot express the devastating affect it has to a person, physically, mentally and emotionally. Every single day is heartbreaking watching someone you love, someone who was a pillar of strength and independance, slowly and agonisingly deteriorate before you.

The charity already provides fantastic and relentless support, however this only remains possible if we continue to raise awareness and donate as much as possible.

We will be holding various events on the lead up to China to raise as much money as we can for the charity. These will be posted on our social media pages and we hope you can join us.

Thank you for the continuous love and support we have received over the past few years.
