Story
In honour of our marvellous March Gin of the Month, a special edition from One Gin, we're encouraging Craft Gin Club members and gin fans everywhere to raise funds for The One Foundation by donating the cost of a G&T.
What's more, we're pledging to match all donations up to the value of £10,000!
Will you join us and donate £5 or the cost of a G&T and help change lives today?
What is The One Foundation?
Every morning, almost 1 billion people wake up with no access to safe, clean water. Routine tasks like cooking for their family, washing and even providing safe drinking water for their children are dangerous, difficult and even deadly. The One Foundation is working to change that.
Beatrice's Story
Beatrice’s friends and family at her village in Rwanda previously had to walk to open water sources where they had to collect dirty water. This was their only source of water for drinking, cooking and bathing.
As well as the health risks, children were missing out on their education as they needed to skip school to collect water.
The One Foundation has now installed a new tap stand. These days, the community has access to clean water. Beatrice smiles: “Kids now go to school regularly, without absenteeism and delays, like it was when they had to go and fetch water before and after school”. What's more, Beatrice can now use the time she used to spend trekking to get water to weave baskets and mats which she sells to generate additional income for her family.
How will our Craft Gin Club members' donations help?
The money that we raise together will support The One Foundation's work in Ghana, where community vending stations are being built to provide residents with affordable, clean water.
Will you join us and donate £5 or the cost of a G&T and help change lives today?
Thank you x
