This Easter whilst many of us will be enjoying a special meal and a few Easter Eggs with family and friends, sadly there are many people in the UK who will struggle to put any food on the table. The problem of UK hunger is  a growing one. 913,318 people received 3 days emergency food from a Trussell Trust foodbank in 2013/2014 compared with 346,992 in 2012/2013.

A grateful single parent in low paid work who was recently helped by the Trussell Trust says “It's a constant battle. Some days I don't eat at all. We don't have treats: that grinds you down after a while. This year I bought a pair of shoes for the first time in 6 years: that was my treat. You work hard and have nothing to show for it.”
