Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising page.
We have two fundraising challenges later this year – an Abseilathon and a trek to Ireland.
For our first challenge, Sense will be hosting an inaugural abseil down Sense TouchBase Pears in Selly Oak, Birmingham. Both Diana and I (and hopefully some of our children!) will be taking part.
Our second challenge takes us to Ireland, our 20th Crabtree trek, with three out of our six children joining us – Charlie, Robbie & Jessie.
The route that we have chosen is part of the 200km Kerry Way, one of Ireland's longest and most popular walking trails. The full trail starts and finishes in the busy town of Killarney. Looping around the Iveragh Peninsula, the Kerry Way goes anti-clockwise, passing through some of the most isolated and dramatic countryside in the country.
Every penny raised from the Abseilathon and trek will go towards Sense and TouchBase Pears, its pioneering, multi-purpose centre for the whole community in Birmingham and beyond – a place that brings people together in a welcoming environment where everyone can feel connected, included and part of the community.
