Fundraising for Diabetes UK
On the 12th July 2014, at Hendersons Sports and Social Club, Romford, Cromer Park FC will be holding a Family Fun Day with a host of fund raising activities and entertainment to enjoy for friends and family.
Cromer Park FC was established in 1999 and competed in the Romford and District league for 12 years across Essex and East London. Around 100 players served the club with great distinction during this period and despite no longer being associated with a league, the club maintains an existence for social and community events. In honour of one of our founding members, Matthew Sell, who passed away in 2002, we are using this event to raise money for Diabetes UK.
Diabetes UK is the leading charity that cares for, connects with and campaigns on behalf of every person affected by or at risk of diabetes. There are 3.8 million people in the UK with diabetes, including an estimated 850,000 who have Type 2 diabetes but do not know it. Diabetes UK help people manage their diabetes effectively by providing information, advice and support. Campaigning to improve the quality of care across the UK’s health services and fund pioneering research into care, cure and prevention of all types of diabetes.
Details of the event are included in the poster attached. The event is open to all and we very much hope you’d like to attend. However, the real aim of the day is raise as much money as possible in Matt’s name for Diabetes UK as we can. So, please dig deep, donate what you can and help us make this a fund raising event to remember.
