Please donate £5 to help Louise to recover from an horrific injury
Poor Louise was found in the Wisbech area at the end of January with a limp and a nasty injury to her neck from a collar injury. Local people said they had seen her around the area for several weeks throughout the winter months. It was discovered that some of the skin had begun to grow over the collar, so it may have been like it for months as she roamed the streets alone. Though she must have been someone’s pet at some point, she was not microchipped and sadly as a result, we have never been able to find her previous owner.
Since being taken into our care, we’ve helped Louise by providing two operations, regular wound flushing, antibiotics, pain relief and a safe place to rest and recover. Louise has been an amazingly good natured and friendly cat throughout despite her suffering and she loves to be with people. We are looking forward to the day she will be well enough to go to her furr-ever home.
We are appealing to you now to help us fund the care we are providing to Louise. So far, the costs of her operations and care amount to more £1300 and there are more to come. If you can donate £5 to help Louise to get well again, we’d be so very grateful. Downham Market Cats Protection has helped over 20,000 cats like Louise for the last 30 years. This year, on our 30th Birthday, our birthday wish is to keeping on being #HereForTheCats for many more years to come. Thank you for your support.
