Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On October 6th 2011, 2 years after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease my great friend Simon Adams passed on.

The horror of being diagnosed with a terminal disease for which there is very little effective medication, and which strikes sufferers down in the most undignified way,is hard to put into words. For the last 2 years, while Simon struggled with this horrific disease I watched him courageously ignore his illness, so that he could raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association to make sure that one day this illness would not be a death sentence for other people. He targeted himself to raise £1m. Although he has since passed on I will endeavour to keep raising money on his behalf to achieve this remarkable total. All of the money raised on this site will go towards Simons grand target. Simon believed that one day if you were to ever hear the words

"you have motor neurone disease"

it would be followed by the phrase

"it is cureable"

To raise the money I am attempting to run 100KM in the spanish mountains in November 2012. The endurance event is called Run Espana.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to read "my story" and hopefully you will support me.

Please visit the association website  http://www.mndassociation.org/ for more information.
