Fundraising for Big C
Story
The City of Norwich Half Marathon
Well, it would be criminal not to, wouldn’t it? We are a team of four from solicitors Cozens-Hardy LLP in Norwich, who are entering the City of Norwich Half Marathon Business Challenge to raise money for the Big C.
We are Chris Groves, Philippa Rudd, Jinny Dodimead and Will Burnell. Three of us participated last year and finished the event (hurrah!), albeit in a quite lowly position. However, we have high hopes for our entry this year, as our team line-up is being boosted by none other than trainee solicitor Will Burnell. I know our opposition is already feeling the fear...
But (luckily) our participation in this event isn’t all about winning, it really is all about raising money for a terrific local charity, Big C. This local cancer charity was formed in Norwich back in 1980 and since then has raised over £12 million to fund cancer support, care and treatment facilities across Norfolk and Waveney. Last year's event attracted over 2,200 entries. On Sunday 30th November, we hope that the Royal Norfolk Showground will reverberate to the cheers of our supporters - and that the Big C coffers are swelled accordingly.
