Story
My 91 year old great gran suffered an Ischemic stroke on the 25th of February i would like to raise awareness on how much a stroke can impact someone’s life. My gran has been left with Aphasia which affects her speech she’s currently still in hospital getting rehabilitation.
I'm taking on 100 miles in April! I'm challenging myself to walk or run 100 miles throughout April while also raising money to rebuild lives after stroke.100 miles in April is a fun way for us all to keep active and raise vital funds to help rebuild lives after stroke. Your fundraising can help in incredible ways:• £150 could help pay for research into new stroke treatments, such as thrombolysis, a clot-busting drug that returns the blood supply to the brain that has transformed the outcomes of stroke survivors who have received it.• £250 could pay for one hour of Helpline activity, helping the families of stroke survivors support their loved ones after stroke.• £300 could enable a Co-ordinator to demonstrate how to use My Stroke Guide to a stroke survivor, empowing them to take control of their recovery and feel less isolated
