We provide support and information to those affected by endometriosis

Story

Almost 3 years ago, after months of suffering unknown pains, I was diagnosed with a condition called endometriosis after having a laparoscopy due to my GP finding an ovarian cyst. A year later, I was found to have a cyst again and had another operation that later revealed that I had these cells on both my bladder and bowel. Being diagnosed affected me both physically and mentally, which resulted in me feeling extremely isolated as I felt as though nobody understood what I was going through.

Endometriosis is a chronic and debilitating condition which affects 1 in every 10 women in the UK of the reproductive age - there is no cure and no known cause and symptoms vary from person to person.

Endometriosis UK was the charity I turned to when I was first diagnosed. The support has really helped me understand and come to terms with living with this condition and I now have a much more positive outlook on life.

I have decided to fundraise for Endometriosis UK by taking part in a Skydive with Kieran in the hope that better or more support can be given to people in the North-East of Scotland, as well as throughout the UK.
