Almost there but the race is on Sunday! Very nervous!

I thought I'd challenge myself to running the Cardiff Half Marathon which takes place on October the 16th, 2011 and of all the charities to support, I could not imagine a more worthy cause than that of The Velindre Cancer Centre, the largest non-surgical cancer Hospital in Wales providing Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy and other specialised anti-cancer treatments for over half the people diagnosed with cancer in Wales.

I feel personally drawn to helping Velindre as my grandmother spent time receiving treatment during our final year with us, the care she was given was exceptional.

Very recently we also recieved the heart-breaking news that my grandfather had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. As hard as this news was to accept, it has only made me more dedicated and eager to raise money for the centre in which he is currently recieving treatment, Velindre.

Get involved today by donating as little or as much as possible to this centre of excellence and make a difference today.
