Story
On January 6th 2015, our darling Peter 'Dude' Baldwin went to sleep forever. He was just 13 years old, and has left a huge gap in our lives.
He had un-diagnosed Type 1 Diabetes, which robbed us of the most amazing boy. He would be so proud to see all of the work that has been done since, in his name, to raise vital awareness about diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes in children. Beth and family's work has already prevented countless children becoming seriously ill from late diagnosis, and no doubt saved lives (across the world).
Beth, Stuart and Lia have been so strong and a true inspiration - raising tens of thousands for Diabetes UK, and fronting the campaign to raise awareness of diagnosing this potentially lethal illness.
So once again I am putting on the trainers, after just 6 months ago breaking my foot (and had sciatica - and put back out (twice) - yes I am laying it on thick). I am running an - 100 Mile Challenge! To help the Baldwins reach their £100K mile stone of the fundraising for Diabetes UK.
Star Wars 10k (May 4th) - done :)
Thunder Cats Half Marathon (virtual run) - done :)
Swansea Half Marathon - done :)
The Dragon Races Challenge (10 Miles, 12 Miles and 13.2 Mile - July)
The Forest of Dean Half Marathon (Aug)
The Severn Bridge Half Marathon (Aug)
and to cap it off the Cardiff 10K on the 2nd Sept.
A total of 100 Miles!
