Thank you for visiting our page! This year, we will once again embark on The Big Ride in support of the charity Street Child and its mission to see all children safe, in school and learning especially in low-resource environments and emergency areas. 

This year's event will be taking place at De Kaap, in The Netherlands from 14th-15th June. The Big Ride 2023 is a two-day challenge of endurance and many of us from Liberty Global will be there!

We will take on cycling routes up to 170 km per day, with the option of swapping to a half or full marathon on the second day. 

Every year, the event raises a huge amount to help children and communities across Africa and Asia. 

Liberty Global has been supporting Street Child and its predecessor - Lessons for Life organization since 2008. From Uganda to Ukraine, Street Child’s reach has grown exponentially over the last 14 years. From humble beginnings in Sierra Leone, it is now operating in 20 countries. Last year alone, they materially impacted the education 350,000 children globally that were previously out of school. 

With € 40 Street Child can provide an emergency affected learner in Somalia with school meals for a year. With €1,000 it can provide 8 families with start-up grants to start a small sustainable business in Liberia or Sierra Leone so that they can cover the cost of their children’s education for the long term. None of this would be possible without the money raised by events such as this.
