Story
The Young Farmers' community is facing a funding crisis due to Covid-19 as usual fundraising events have not been held. For the first time in 89 years, we have launched a national fundraising campaign to help secure the future of YFCs. Please help so that we do not loose vital services for rural young people.
Over the coming months Cornwall YFC will be holding several activities / events to raise money to support the work of the federation, with our online fundraising campaign.
Activity / Event 1: The first activity will see members walk / cycle / horse ride the length of Cornwall in a relay - all wearing or carrying welly boots in the Welly Relay. The relay will take members past all 20 clubs in Cornwall - from St Buryan to Stratton.
The County team will be starting the relay from Lands End and walking to St Buryan!
Activity / Event 2: The Christmas Quiz is aimed to get everyone into the Christmas Spirit - there are 10 rounds to test your Christmas knowledge. We are not charging teams to enter however if anyone would like to donate, the federation would be very grateful.
Activity / Event 3: We sadly can not hold our Annual Carol Service this year, the start of Christmas for so many. However, after months of preparation and hard work between Ben our County Chairman and Sam Oatey (Oatey Media), we will be holding a 'Christmas with Cornwall YFC' live on Facebook on Monday 21st December at 7:15pm.
Please join us from the comfort of your own homes; grab a mince pie and light the fire. We will have some lovely Christmas readings & prayers, Christmas carols and Christmas addresses - all in the hope of bringing you some Christmas Spirit. The Carol Service collection provides vital income to the federation each year - if you would like to donate to our online fundraising instead of via the usual Service collection, the federation would be grateful for your support.
