Story
I absolutely love working for Alzheimer's Society!
We have the most amazing employees and volunteers working everyday to support people affected by dementia through some of the hardest and most frightening times of their lives.
With Dementia the UK's biggest killer its incredibly important that direct support is provided now to people affected. This alongside funding research into drugs and treatments and influencing Societal change is exactly what the Alzheimer's Society does with its Help and Hope Strategy.
This year Alzheimer's Society provided support to 98,000 people. A further 1.3M people visited dementia talking point, our online community building care, information and support for people affected by dementia. And our Dementia Directory was used 140,000 times, providing people with information and signposting to where to get help.
We've influenced major political change and had positive break-throughs in drugs able to slow cognitive decline. And none of this would be possible without the fundraising income we need...
I'm so proud, and so lucky to be part of the organisation. I thought I'd better pull my running shoes on! and try to help us raise money to do even more !
If you can donate, you'll be contributing to providing help and hope for people with dementia, now and in future.
THANK YOU SO MUCH !
