Fundraising for Chesterfield Royal Hospital Charity
A small team from COOLSPIRiT and our friends have decided to take up the challenge of a 72 mile cycle race with a 4908 ft climb, in aid of the Special Care Unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
Why The Special Care Unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital:
When Michael's daughter Molly was born with respiratory and feeding problems, the Special Care Unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital were fantastic. All the staff at the unit were so professional, caring and passionate about supporting the family, that in return we want to support them by raising money and awareness that will help them continue the fantastic work the team do on a daily basis.
We hope this small gesture helps support many more families in Derbyshire, and their positive experiences with the Special Care Unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
About The Bike Ride:
The Peak District Pioneer Adventure Cross is a classic British ride exploring the bridleways and cycle trails of the undulating White Peak area of Derbyshire. Mellow rolling countryside and picture-postcard views make for a fun summers ride.
The route leaves Bakewell on the Monsal Trail and loop around High Rake and Longstone Moor before rejoining the Monsal trail. Then the route passes through dramatic (and well-lit) old railway tunnels before joining the Pennine Bridleway at Parsley Hay.
The ride promises to be a lot of fun on both MTB and cross-bikes, and a mix of limestone roads and old railway trails complete the route.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, we hope you can donate where possible.
Many Thanks, COOLSPIRiT
