Story
We’ve spent ten years talking about Coronation Street on our podcast, Conversation Street - and you’ve spent ten years listening... or there abouts! Coronation Street is an incredibly special programme, not just because of its history and heritage, but because of the way it talks about people, and their stories. Ordinary people, like you and me. People who have their ups, and their downs.
Too many people across the country are facing their down times right now. We wanted to mark our ten year anniversary by helping Trussell Trust fight food poverty, and eventually eradicate the need for food banks in the UK all together. The tough times are hard, but if Coronation Street has taught us one thing, it’s the importance of community and coming together to help one another overcome those times.
We’ve already raised £250 with our cast versus fans quiz - thank you if you took part! For those who still wanted to help us raise money for this worthy cause, we’ve put together this fundraising page. Thank you so much for dropping by - and even if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this so we can reach as many people as possible.
From the Trussell Trust: Our vision is for a UK without the need for food banks. We say this because it’s not right that anyone cannot afford their own food. That’s why we are working towards a just, compassionate future, where no one should have to use a food bank to get by.Our vision is ambitious, but we know that if we work together it is possible. We can create a future where nobody goes hungry, because nobody will allow it – when we work Together for Change.#TogetherForChange
