Story
I was diagnosed with Diabetes type 1 when I was 14 after becoming very ill. I had to learn how to test my blood at regular intervals during the day and inject myself with insulin to stay alive. This is now my regime for the rest of my life unless a cure is found for this life threatening illness (yep, I could die of it if I'm not very careful with my food, insulin etc...!) Diabetes UK are working tirelessly towards this aim.
Please help Diabetes UK raise more than £7million towards this vital reasearch.
Type 1 diabetes is the least common form of Diabetes, only 10% of sufferers have this type. There are currently 2.9 milliion people with diabetes (types 1&2) in the UK and up to 850,000 more people that have it without realising it yet. It could happen to anyone. Type 1 is not related to lifestyle and diet, mostly children and young adults develop it, it is very random!
I want to help find a cure so I am running this race for all of those people. Please help by sponsoring me even if it's only a small amount, it all counts.
Anyway enough of the serious shnizz get donating!! :-)
