We support people with Down’s syndrome to live full and rewarding lives.

Story

In July 2023, I will travel to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest free standing mountain in the world. I am taking on this challenge to raise awareness and funds for a very worthy charity, Down’s Syndrome Association.

DSA is the only charity in Northern Ireland, England and Wales that helps people with Down’s syndrome live full and rewarding lives. DSA champion the rights of people with Down’s syndrome, by campaigning for change and challenging discrimination.

This charity is very close to mine and my families heart as we have witnessed the difference charities like this can make on a person’s life. My aunt, Sue (who has Down’s syndrome) lives a full and happy life where she lives with friends in assisted living, has her own hobbies/interests and partakes in volunteer work to help the community. This lifestyle would not have been imaginable 50 years ago

Throughout the next 9 months I will be holding fundraisers, as well as running this page, to raise as much money as possible for DSA. Any donation - big or small - is greatly appreciated and will make a difference.
