Story
In July 2021 we tragically lost a member of our team, Connor Shuel (aged 20). In memory of our colleague, and to raise awareness of the importance of good Mental Health, as well as promote the fantastic work that SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) and many other Mental Health Charities do, our team will be carrying out a Charity Cycle Challenge in July 2022. We will be collectively fundraising as a team, but will be carrying out the Cycle Challenge in two different formats: John O’Groats to Portpatrick Over the course of 7 days and 444 miles, our Project Manager Paul Fallon and his 10 year old son will be cycling from the top of Scotland to the Bottom of Scotland averaging 65 miles per day. Perth to Glasgow On Sunday 31st July, colleagues from the engineering team, office team and external organisations who wish to take part will be joining Paul and his Son on the Perth to Glasgow leg of the journey to complete their own mini cycling challenge and support Paul and his Son on their longer journey. Mental Health can often be overlooked or dismissed, and shockingly is the largest cause of death of young men in Scotland. As a company, we aim to show through this challenge that it is OK to feel down, it is OK to need help and that everybody should feel safe and able to talk about their mental state at any time. We thank you for all your support and donations to charity for this cause in memory of our colleague and hope that our efforts go a long way to changing peoples understanding, attitudes and empathy for mental health.
