I am raising money to help the children of Nyumbani Orphange in Nairobi that I had the pleasure of being able to visit 6 years ago. It was a fantastic experience but a sad one. The children there have been affected by HIV in their lives. Whether it was by losing both their parents to the disease, or by having contracted it themselves. Seeing how underprivilaged the children were and how grateful they were for the smallest thing we did for them such as bring them a small present, made me realise how lucky we all are to live in a country where these problems simply do not affect us. This, along with my schools effort to help charities, prompted me to undertake this trek to help raise some money to help to sponsor these children.
