I am raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital as they saved my son's life. I will forever be in debt to the staff, hospital, surgeons, and the facilities that made this happen.

Elijah was born with Tetralogy of Fallot and had a full repair via open heart surgery at 6 months. They allowed us to stay together as a family the night before, and provided accommodation for me and Elijah's Dad to stay down the road. Then offered a bed by Elijah's cot when he came off intensive care.

They cared for our son, and cared for us too. They provided emotional support to us who were two scared, bewildered and overwhelmed parents.

It is so important for parents to be able to stay by their child's bedside or down the road, it is something that we take for granted every day but really means everything when they are in hospital.

It is just a small way of repaying them for something I cannot put a price on. My son's life. It is because of GOSH that I have a mischievous, healthy and vibrant little boy. That I get to see him growing up and achieving so much. They will never know what they truly did for my family.
