Story
As a child, I've always had an interest in the military, dreamed of joining so many parts and yet life never led me that way. Probably a good thing as these men and women really are made of something else. Having watched Commando School years ago, more recently SAS: Who Dares Wins, had a grandfather who was a Marine during the war (albeit a rather mischievous one who liked a good fight) and always loved assault courses, I recently discovered this event and decided to get off my behind and go for it.
I will be training very hard for this one, my last 25km walk was one thing but this will be a big test of will power, determination and hopefully learning what it is to have 'the mindset' that Commandos need. I'd appreciate any small donation, even single pounds can help the Royal Marines Association and the Charity so please give generously, as much as you can afford and know that I will go through what is likely to be a small pinch of hell for the good of charity. If not then I would value prayer as well - I know I will need it!
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. The Royal Marines Charity helps the entire RM family, offering services to those who are currently serving, veterans and their familes. These people need all the help they can get as they defend the lives and freedoms we so often take for granted.
Thank you.
