Introducing The Colt Charity Challenge. Replacing the Bike Ride for 2020

Over the past eight years, the Colt Bike Ride has seen participants cycle large sections of the Colt Network to raise an incredible €1.3 million for our charity partners globally. Although it’s not possible to continue this challenge in the traditional way for 2020, our charity partners need us now more than ever before. So we’re excited to launch a brand new challenge, and this time everyone can get involved – even your friends and family!

What’s the challenge?

You’re invited to travel the distance of the Colt Network with us from Wednesday 9 September to Tuesday 22 September! That means you can run, swim, cycle, jog, yoga, walk, golf, Zumba, shop (yes, you read that right) or use any other form of movement to help us clock up the kilometres and raise heaps of funds globally! 

Our distance and fundraising targets will be ambitious, but with the dedication, teamwork and fighting spirit Colties have, we believe they can be achieved. Plus, for the first time ever, we’re opening this challenge up to everyone – so invite your family, friends, customers and even your industry contacts to help us reach our goals.

In the UK we are doing this event to support Richard House Children's Hospice. In the UK, it is estimated that there are more than 40,000 children who are living with a life limiting illness. That equates to roughly one in every 313 individuals under the age of 19. There are only a handful of hospices to support these children and their families in London, and one of these hospices is Richard House Children's Hospice in East London. They deliver specialist care for babies, children and young adults while supporting their families through counselling, therapy, bereavement support and more. With a focus on living for today and creating positive memories for tomorrow, they also offer a range of activities for all the family to enjoy. Their services are completely free of charge and as a local charity over 70% of their funding is charitable - from the generosity of local people, companies and groups. At Colt we are delighted to support such a worthy cause. 

This event reminds us that we all can achieve great things and we all have the power to do good.
