Story
The goal of the Colt charity bike ride is simple: raise as much money for charity as possible by creating a challenging event that encourages team collaboration.
This year’s route will take us through scenic Germany and Austria from Munich to Vienna and will take place from 20 - 23 September 2019.
The Colt Bike Ride is our single largest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event, which brings employees together for a common goal: Raising charitable donations through a multi-day cycle ride. Over the past six years, Colt has raised more than ~€1,000,000 for charities across 16 countries that support under privileged children.
This year, UK riders support Richard House Children’s Hospice. In the UK, it is estimated that there are more than 40,000 children who are living with a life limiting illness. That equates to roughly one in every 313 individuals under the age of 19. There are only a handful of hospices to support these children and their families in London, and one of these hospices is Richard House Children’s Hospice in East London. They deliver specialist care for babies, children and young adults, while supporting their families through counselling, therapy, bereavement support and more. With a focus on living for today and creating positive memories for tomorrow, they also offer a range of activities for all the family to enjoy. As a charity, the services provided are free of charge to the families who they support, and the vast majority of their funding is thanks to the generosity of the public. At Colt we are delighted to be supporting such a worthy cause.
This event reminds us that we all can achieve great things and we all have the power to do good.
