Story
The Story:
Stuart, Luke and Trina from the Colour Dynamics' team are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge in support of Lakelands Hospice.
Lakelands Hospice is an independent charity committed to delivering specialist palliative support for people with cancer, heart failure and other life limiting illnesses.
Lakelands receives NO statutory NHS or Government funding and relies on the support and generosity from the people of Corby borough to provide award winning levels of care into the community.
In order to support Lakelands, we are hoping to raise a total of £1250.
The Challenge:
Starting in Corby and travelling around 1,000 miles to Scotland, Northern England and Wales.
Three mountains to climb, 24 miles to hike, 1,000 miles to travel, all in 24 hours - the Three Peak Challenge!
The Three Peak Challenge involves climbing the highest mountain in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. We will travel up to Scotland and do Ben Nevis first, travelling back down to do Scafell Pike in the Lake District, England and Snowdon, Wales, respectively.
The Mountains:
Ben Nevis - Highest mountain in the UK, at 1,344 meters high, and the longest walk.
Scafell Pike - The highest peak in England at 978 meters, the smallest mountain.
Snowdon - the Welsh giant at 1,085 meters tall.
