Story
5 members of Collingwood staff are going to take on the Three Peaks Challenge this May (25/26). This involves climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. Cheryl Evans, Clare Griffiths, Ceri Magness, Steve McKay and Neil Metcalfe will start the challenge by climbing Ben Nevis, then working down to Scarfell Pike and finishing with Snowdon.
By completing this challenge, the teachers are hoping to raise money for two chosen causes. The first is for the Collingwood College Borneo Expedition. This trip is a once in a life time opportunity whereby students will be involved in a community project, building a water point for a local village as well as climbing Mount Kinabalu. Students rely on fundraising and donations to go on the expedition this summer. You can donate to this fund through ParentPay on the Portal, look for Three Peaks Challenge.
The team are also raising money for Cancer Research, a charity close to Steve's heart as his mum's life was cut short by cancer.
We appreciate it is a lot to ask, but any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated.
