Story
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm running the Brighton 2017 marathon raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. Heart issues affect both sides of my family and also some of my friends. Today people have a higher chance of surviving heart attacks and heart related illness due to the advances in medicine and the work of the BHF.
This is my first marathon and is something I have wanted to do for a really long time. The training is incredibly tough and takes real commitment for a number of months plus balancing full time work and everyday life. I'm really focused on my training and I want to be crossing the finish line on the day knowing that I have contributed to making a difference along with other fellow heart runners.
It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £25 could pay for an hour of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target of £400. Thanks!
