We provide high-quality specialist care to local people with serious illnesses

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My charity fund raising experience has been limited to the odd 10k and PTFA fund raising so far so this will be somewhat different. :)

On 19th September as part of a team from Dimension Data and NTT, I will be going to the top of the UK's tallest sculpture at the ArcelorMittal Orbit located near the Olympic Stadium in London and then will drop off the side and perform a 262ft freefall abseil to the bottom.

We are raising money for The Heathrow Farm Project and St Giles Hospice.

If you could support, we'd be very grateful for any and all donations. Below is some information on both of the charities and why they are so important.

And don't forget, if you gift aid you can also claim tax relief off your donations in your tax return...

Thank you!

St Giles

St Giles Hospice is a registered charity founded in 1983 by the Reverend Paul Brothwell, originally to improve the care of local people dying with cancer. We now support people in our community whose illnesses may not be curable such as cancer, motor neurone disease, heart failure, MS and respiratory disease. We also offer support for families and helpers.

Our dedicated team provides individually-tailored care either at the hospice or in patients’ own homes across our communities.

The range of specialist services is provided free of charge to those who need it. Although St Giles receives some funding from the Government, we rely heavily on donations and fundraising.

Heathrow Special Needs Farm

The charity was formed in 1986 to address the considerable benefits for people with disabilities and special needs to be had from contact with animals and plants. It is possible for them to not only derive considerable proven therapeutic benefit but also to develop skills, get education, get work experience and reach personal targets with a sense of personal achievement in so doing.

The charity welcomes visitors and users from 5 years of age with all types of disability and special needs and provides free services which are not available from local authorities or commercial organisations.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
