Mission accomplished.

Ideal weather conditions - cool, no wind, overcast, with some rain - meant no sunburn - so much for the weather forecast of 20 degrees.Despite the rain the crowds were out in numbers and in great voice. Their support  was unbelievable.

I completed the course in 4 hours and 50 minutes - 1 hour and 10 minutes quicker than last year.

Thanks to all the crowd, other runners especially running comrades Mick Collins and James Quinn (both first time runners) and all those who have sponsored me through the site.

I can retire from long distance running with a sense of satisfaction.
