On 3 September (weather permitting!) myself and my good friend Paul McGuire (two former Barrhead Dolphins!) are attempting to swim the length of Loch Lomond end to end, from Ardlui to Balloch. 

This is a distance of over 22 miles and to putthis into context, it is the equivalent to over 1,400 lengths of a standard 25m pool – in one go. Recent training swims have peaked at 10 miles (and resulted in some sore shoulders) but we’re hoping that plenty of Lucozade, Jelly Babies and Ibuprofen will carry us to the finish line!

I am raising money for charity - Accord Hospice - a local charity which provides palliative and end of life care to people living with or affected by a life limiting illness in Renfrewshire and parts of East Renfrewshire. I know personally the amazing work the charity does for so many people.
