Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and exploring my triple 10 challenge!

This challenge represents the end of my health transformation, changing the way I eat, how much I weigh and just how fit I am. The reason is diabetes, I'm a diabetic for nearly 20 years now, and to get it under control I need to achieve 3 targets :-

1 mile in 10 minutes

Lose 10 Kg

Run 10k

So I'm in good shape on my first two targets and the last milestone is looming - with the BUPA London 10k in May 2014 - I'd like to do it in under an hour. That's a big ask when you realise the last time I ran 10k it took me 90 minutes and I was nearly crying at the end :-)

I'm running for Cancer Research as I have lost too many people who have sufferred as result of this terrible disease and it's time for me to fight back in the only way I know how. I lost a dear friend, my uncle Eric to it almost exactly 3 years ago and really want to do something for him.

Please help if you can.
