For my first post- retirement challenge I’m raising funds for the Helen Bamber foundation. If you haven’t heard of them they support refugees and asylum seekers who have experienced extreme human cruelty such as war, torture, gender based violence and human trafficking . They provide specialist care to meet the complex needs of the most marginalised and vulnerable people in the world. They are simply one of the most important charities in the UK  

It’s been a few years since I did any charitable challenge and now that I’m retiring I want to make sure I give something back  

I am going to attempt the 191 mile Wainright Coast to Coast walk from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood Bay in Yorkshire    I’m doing this from 16 to 30 June with North West Walks   I just hope my ancient knees hold out!

Please give as generously as you can for this incredibly important cause
