Colin Ward is raising money for The Society of St James
Story
I have signed up to complete this challenge to raise awareness to others about homelessness and support available for vulnerable adults.
I need to raise £250 to be able to complete this breathtaking challenge for Society of St James that runs services throughout Hampshire.
I have witnessed first hand (through my wife) the amazing work that SSJ do to support people far less fortunate (but no less deserving) than people like myself. I believe the saying is "we are all only 3 pay cheques away from being homeless".
Without organisations like SSJ many people would simply fall through the net and into a life on the streets. Alcohol addiction is clearly a massive unspoken problem in British society and has alcohol been invented in this century I'm sure it would instantly have been banned!?
I work hard and I work for myself so it feels great to be contributing towards others in this instance.
I was fortunate enough to attend the first ever Christmas party held at the Spinnaker tower which was fairly self indulgent and extremely opulent so it seems to balance the scales by abseiling down the outside to put something back into society on a different level.
